A – The Label Lifter™ actually works by penetrating the paper label with a specially formulated adhesive to lift the printed surface off the label onto the clear plastic.
A – There is an adhesive covering one entire side of the Bottle Wrap™. This special adhesive only sticks to itself. You wrap it around a bottle and secure it by pressing the adhesive sides together to conceal its identity. And by pleating the top just enough to close the neck it will not reveal the bottle shape either.
Q - Why should the label go under water before using the Label Lifter™?
A – Ten to twenty seconds under warm water will:
allow for a better penetration of the Label Lifters'™ adhesive into the label being removed
soften and warm the glue for easier removal
ensure that the label and bottle are clean to begin (so that you do not laminate dirt or dust with your label!)
Q – Why does the occasional label seem more stubborn to remove than most other labels?
A – There are several possibilities ranging from how the label on the bottle has been applied and the amount of glue that was used, to the age of the bottle. Also the extra glossy labels may require additional time under warm running water – when the edges of the label start to ripple slightly, it’s ready for removal. Also, check that it is a paper label! Some plastic labels can be deceiving.
Q – Where can I find your products in my area?
A – Check your favourite wine shop, wine accessories shop, culinary/kitchen shop. You may contact us with the city that you live in and we’ll let you know who in your area carries VNA products.
Q – Will the label still come off if I over-soaked it or saturated it?
A – Yes, however, when over-soaking has occurred, the label is too wet for the adhesive to stick to it. The label will need some time to air dry before applying the Label Lifter™ for removal.
A – Yes and No. Label Lifters™ can be used on plastic labels to improve removal, reduce stretching, tearing and deforming. You will need to pull up an edge first to get it started since the adhesive can not penetrate the plastic.
Q – Can you use the Label Lifter™ without putting the bottle under water?
A – Yes, however your success rate is greatly improved by using warm water for about 10-20 seconds. The water assists with softening the glue and cleaning the surface of the label.

Q – Can you give any recommendations for easing the removal of the occasional tough label?
A – Yes, here are several options:
If, once the Label Lifter™ has been applied, the label does not come away in one piece, then re-apply the Label Lifter™ and begin removing it again from the other side.
If some parts of the label have not come away when you have removed the label, put the remaining label that is on the bottle, under water again for only a few seconds, pat it dry and reapply the Label Lifter™ to line up in place and continue as directed.
Fill the bottle with hot water to soften the glue from the inside too.
Use a second Label Lifter™ to lift the portions of the label that were left on the bottle. Once removed, place the first one over the second to complete the label
Leave the Label Lifter™ on the label for over 24 hours to allow adhesive to penetrate the paper more fully.
Completely adhere Label Lifter™ over the entire label. Put hot water inside and also over the top of the label AND the Label Lifters™ for 10-20 seconds or more. Dry and remove. (This method alters the clear glue on the balance of the Label Lifter™. Trim close to the label before applying into your journal.)
Dramatic Measures: Enjoy a glass of your favourite wine and toss the bottle into the recycling bin!
